Requirements for the Tour:

  • All participants to use their own snowmobile (rentals may be set up, subject to availability)
  • All participants are required to have a Snopass and vehicle insurance
  • All participants must provide an example of experience (long distance trips/ tours)

 

Price

$4,099.00 + GST = $4,303.95 CAD per person based on Double Occupancy
$397.00 + GST = $416.85 Single Supplement

Payment schedule:
$800.00 non-refundable deposit per person at time of booking
Final payment on/by March 01, 2024

  • 2 x Guides provided for entire itinerary
  • Accommodation: Thompson, Gillam & Churchill
  • Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner – as per itinerary
  • Snowmobile Gas from McClintock to Churchill
  • Guided tour in the Churchill area – touring on snowmobile
  • return Via Rail Churchill to Thompson
  • Snowmobile return via Arctic Gateway to Thompson
  • Guides will have emergency equipment, tools and extra oil
  • Guides will be prepared for maintenance and equipment failures

Sun. March 17, 2024 – Day 01 – Arrive Thompson 

Meet and Greet, evening welcome dinner reception and group leader review the tour details
*please note we have arranged for your trailers to be safely secured at McCreedy campground Thompson (owned by the Mayor of Thompson)

Overnight at Best Western in Thompson

Mon. March 18, 2024 – Day 02 – Thompson to Gillam

8:00 am – Breakfast at Best Western

9:00 am – Depart McCreedy campground on approx. 160 km journey to Kelsey Generating Station

Lunch at Kelsey

Depart Kelsey on approx. 118 km journey to Gillam

Late afternoon arrival at the Kettle River Inn in Gillam

Dinner at Kettle River Inn restaurant.

Overnight at Kettle River Inn & Suites
(B,L,D)


Tues. March 19, 2024 – Day 03 – Gillam to Churchill 

7:00 am – Breakfast at Kettle River Inn restaurant

8:00 am – Depart Gillam for McClintock – approx. 118 km

Arrive at McClintock for a lunch (prepared in Gillam)

Depart McClintock /Deer River then Churchill River for Churchill – approx. 155 km

In the evening arrive at Polar Inn and suites & Dinner at the Hotel

Overnight Polar Inn and suites

Wed. March 20, 2024 – Day 04 – Churchill 

Breakfast at hotel.

Open day for touring set up by North Star Tours  (on snowmobiles)

Overnight at Polar Inn and suites

Thurs. March 21, 2024 – Day 05 – Churchill to Thompson

Free Day to Rest and enjoy Churchill

12:00 n + or – Load snowmobiles on Arctic Gateway train

7:30 pm – Depart Churchill on overnight VIA train to Thompson
(B,L,D )


Fri. March 22, 2024 – Day 06 – Arrival in Thompson 

Passengers arrive Thompson at 11:30 am, upon arrival pick up truck and trailers at McCreedy campground

Once Arctic Gateway arrives in Thompson station, you may pick up your snowmobile.

Sat. March 23, 2024 – Day 07 – Depart for Home
