NOTE: The Hermetic Code Tours are done for the 2024 season. We're looking to resume in the Spring of 2025
Due to restrictions at the Manitoba Legislative Building, we have not been approved to run public tours. If you have a group of 15 people, we can offer private tours with a maximum of 25 people.
Don Finkbeiner, Heartland's very own Hermetic Code Expert, is the official Guide for this tour. He has done them hundreds of times for different international, regional, and local groups!

For your Churchill trip, it is recommended to stay in Winnipeg for:
1 day before your trip to Churchill
1 day after your trip to Churchill
This allows you ample time to adjust, handle any travel delays, and explore Winnipeg a bit before and after your adventure.

Churchill is located in northern Manitoba, Canada, on the western shore of Hudson Bay. It is renowned for its polar bear population, beluga whale sightings, and stunning northern lights.
By Air:
The most common and fastest way to reach Churchill is by flying.
You can take a flight from Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport (YWG) to Churchill Airport (YYQ).
Calm Air is the only regional airline that offers regular flights between Winnipeg and Churchill.
It takes 2-3 hours to get there from Winnipeg.
By Train:
VIA Rail Canada provides train services to Churchill.
The trip takes about 2 days and offers a scenic route through the Canadian wilderness.
By Sea:
During certain times of the year, it is possible to reach Churchill by sea, although this is less common and typically part of an organized expedition or cruise.
Since Churchill is not accessible by road, flying or taking the train are the primary options for most travellers.

While we can't guarantee that you'll see wildlife and Aurora Borealis, because it really depends on Mother Nature, our tours are organized to be held during the peak times of the seasons to be able to see wildlife and the Northern Lights accordingly.
